PLEASE NOTE: This ring is open to both registered and unregistered horses and ponies. Correct driver should be nominated on the entry form.

Where classes are deemed too full, they may be split for height at the judge’s discretion.

All ponies must be entered in the name of the registered owner or leasee, who must be a financial member of the APSB Society Inc. It is not necessary for the exhibitor (handler, rider or driver) to be a financial member. All ponies must be registered with the APSB Society. All presentation must be in accordance with the individual breed standard as outlined by the APSB Society.

STANDARDBRED (SPPHASA) HARNESS

Horses must be registered with, and competitors members of SPPHASA. Walk/Trot horses are horses unavle to canter. Horses competing in walk/trot classes are ineligible to compete in Open classes at the same show.

Once you have completed in a OPen class you are ineligible for walk/trot. Newcomer Led and Ridden classes are for horses in their first season of showing.

Newcomers are to compete in Newcomer classes only unless otherwise stated. Novice Open Ridden is for horses in their first season of showing, or for Walk/Trot horses transitioning into Open for their first season.

Newcomer and Novice Open season extends from the day after the State Championships, up to and including the day of the following State Championships. Any horse which competed on or prior to this day, is not Newcomer eligible.

Horses are only eligible for either Hack OR Hunter, and cannot compete in both.
