ROTE GRUTZE RECIPE

Use any black grapes, wash and remove stalks.  Place in saucepan and cover with water, cook until tender.  Put grapes and liquid through sieve.  To every 500ml add 2 tablespoons of sago (sugar may be needed).  Sago can be soaked for several hours before use (not wet). Simmer for 15 minutes or until sago is cooked (no white spots). It is preferred no other ingredients be added.
