ENTRIES CLOSE – 11.59pm MONDAY 3rd MARCH 2025 

LATE ENTRIES after 3rd MARCH 2025 will incur a $10 fee. 

* NO ENTRIES will be accepted after 5pm Wednesday 5th MARCH 2025

MEMBERSHIP FOR COMPETITORS

Compulsory for all competitors – $10 Saturday only     

SCRATCHINGS will be accepted with refund until Tuesday 4th March 2025. After this date refunds on scratching’s will be paid only if a veterinary certificate is produced.

GENERAL NOTES:

1 Roads – We advise that all horses and ponies should be LED across the internal road, as it is deemed slippery.

2 Exercising – Horses and ponies may be exercised on the Oval throughout the day in the areas allocated. 

3 Definitions:

(a) Novice: Not having won any Class at any Agricultural or EFA Affiliated Show 

(b) Intermediate: Not having placed 1st to 6th at any Royal Show

(c) Open:  Open to any horse.

4 Ownership – All horses/ponies must be the bonafide property of the exhibitor(s).

5 Substitutes – Only horses or ponies which have been nominated and named will be accepted. A substitute MAY be accepted if this animal has been entered on the day.

VETERINARY SURGEON

Judges may call on the Society’s Veterinary Surgeon in respect of the soundness of any exhibit. The Society reserves the right to test any exhibit to determine whether any drug or stimulant has been administered to such exhibit. The Society shall not be liable for death, injury or damage, which may be sustained by an exhibit due to this test being carried out. A Veterinary Surgeon will be on call.

PLEASE NOTE FROM ALL SECTIONS THAT HAVE HARNESS CLASSES THESE WILL BE HELD AT THE END OF ALL THE BREED CLASSES IN RING 4 ON SATURDAY.
PLEASE REFER TO RING 4 PROGRAM.

Hot Weather Policy
If the BOM forecast for Tanunda at 3pm Friday the 7th March 2025 is to be 36 deg c or more the Horses in Action Section will be cancelled.
If the Show is Cancelled Tanunda AH & F Society will refund entries minus a $10 Admin Fee.
Tanunda AH & F Society and the Show Convenors accept no responsibility if any exhibitor arrives at the show grounds if the event has been cancelled due to hot weather.
The onus is on the exhibitor to check the Tanunda forecast on the BOM website at 3pm Friday.
